STRENGTH OF A WOMAN is a 20-minute documentary by the Violence Against Women Committee of the Coalition for Women Prisoners and filmmaker Allison Caviness.

Through intimate testimony, formerly incarcerated survivors of domestic violence reclaim their narratives, revealing both the quiet endurance and the systemic failures that shaped their paths. The film holds space for resilience while illuminating the cost of a justice system that too often punishes survival.

The film has been used as an advocacy tool to educate policymakers and the public on issues of gender-based violence and incarceration.
